Remodeling Project

Location: Monterrey, Mexico

Land Area: 100m2

Construction Area: 95m2

Consisted of analyzing and reconstructing a dilapidated house. The house had several problems: no foundation, no natural light, no division between public/private spaces, holes in several of the walls and a cheap sheet metal roof.

We designed the house to have the public area in front and the private area in back with a central patio linking the two spaces. This patio also served as a source of natural light for both areas.

Los Encinos

Location: Santiago, N.L., Mexico

Los Encinos is a community living of 57 houses, each with 200m2 of construction and a club house that is located in the town of Santiago, Nuevo Leon. This project is inspired by the traditions and natural majesty surrounding the town of Santiago.

We started by designing the master plan with the idea of preserving the town's identity and making the community's park an important area. This was accomplished by giving the park diverse activities, such as biking lanes, running/walking lanes, space for yoga classes, weights area and children games.

The house is designed with the public areas in the lower level, and the private areas on the top floor to give the rooms the better view to the mountains that surround the area. It was also strategicaly planned to provide natural light and ventilation. The club house is for the residents use only, and it has different areas for entratainment, such as a pool, gym, ballroom, and play room.
